Barbara Parker was a former prosecutor with the state attorney’s office in Dade County, Florida. She authored eleven mysteries, including Suspicion of Malice, which was a finalist for the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel by an American author. She lived in South Florida, where she enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her pug, Max. Ms. Parker passed away in March 2009.
